As lead catalog designer for home and garden retailer Smith & Hawken (2006 to 2008), I managed the design and build—from concepting through final production—of the company’s consumer catalogs. Shown here: Smith & Hawken’s first annual Sourcebook—a 154-page high-density catalog of entire product line, targeted to high-end customers.
Catalog spreads from Smith & Hawken’s fall 2007 “House Proud” campaign. The goal was to design fresh, readable, shopable layouts for furniture collections, tabletop items, sale items, and editorial content. Download the September 2007 catalog (PDF).
Smith & Hawken’s seven-inch “mini magazines” were conceived of to communicate with customers in a new way. These lower-density “mini-mags” included informational and editorial content as well as regular selling pages.
Coyuchi, an organic textile manufacturer and retailer, needed its first two catalogs designed and produced in time for a major trade show. I developed a catalog design that matched their clean, airy aesthetic. Download Coyuchi’s Holiday 2010 Catalog (PDF).
Organic textile company Coyuchi wanted to showcase its beautiful product collections and color stories with the creation of a “designer’s look book.” Download the look book (PDF).
Seventeen Magazine “magalog,” a 17-page mini-catalog of Macy’s juniors’ summer fashions. Three spreads shown here.
